Happy Friday from Hazel Class! We’ve had another busy week. In English, we continued with our class text ‘There’s a Pharoah in our Bath!’ We are really enjoying reading through this and asking questions. In our writing, we are looking at poetry. We have focused on Acrostic poems and have created some about school and Ancient Egypt. In Maths, we have finished off our topic on Fractions by focusing on where to place Unit Fractions on a Numberline. We are excited to move on this

A reminder that we break up on 27th March 1.15pm for the Easter holidays. All children must be collected at 1.15pm. We return to school on Monday 13th April.

On Friday 20th March pupils are welcome to come into school wearing something red for Comic Relief. If pupils do not have anything red, they are welcome to just wear non uniform, if they wish. Year 3 and Year 5 were very lucky this morning to have a visit from some military vehicles, which supports our WWII topics. The AEC Matador Gun Tractor was used by the British and Commonwealth Forces in World War 2. It was famous for towing large guns, carrying crews and serving in lots of other different roles.
