Hazel Year 3

Friday 19th December- Final day of term. 1.15pm school finish time. Monday 5th January- PD Day. Tuesday 6th January- Pupils return to school.

Year 3 and Year 5 were very lucky this morning to have a visit from some military vehicles, which supports our WWII topics. The AEC Matador Gun Tractor was used by the British and Commonwealth Forces in World War 2. It was famous for towing large guns, carrying crews and serving in lots of other different roles. The Scammel Pioneer was a type of tractor truck that was used before and during World War 2. It was used as an artillery tractor, recovery vehicle and tank transporte

What a busy week in Hazel Class we have had! In English, we have carried on reading Friend or Foe. We are really enjoying predicting what may happen before it does. In our writing, we have been looking at how to write a narrative that includes Direct Speech. We have been practicing where to put speech marks in our work.
