This week, I have been extremely proud of the children’s writing. Not only has their presentation improved, but the creativity and ambitious vocabulary choices they are making are wonderful to see. This week has been full of exciting learning across the curriculum. In English, we have been analysing and exploring the key features of a short narrative. Using the animated stimulus Alma , the children discussed how authors create atmosphere, develop characters, and build tension within a story. This week has been a busy and productive one in class, with the children completing a range of assessments. These have helped us to see just how much progress the children are making. I will be feeding back to the children individually and will also be sharing ideas and next steps with you during Parents’ Evening.
