Hazel Weekly Newsletter 26.9.25

We’ve had another busy and productive week in Hazel class!

In English, we have been continuing to read our class book, D-Day Dog. We have been focusing in our Writing on Setting descriptions. We have loved extending our original ideas with literary features.

In Maths, we have continued using our Place Value knowledge to support our new Addition and Subtraction topic.

In Computing, we learned what a Network was, and how we are all connected by knowing each other. We passed messages to each other and tried to make it more efficient by using a person as a ‘Computer Switch’. We preferred this method as it was faster.

In DT, we used equipment to make electrical circuits. Most of us managed to make a series circuit, using a bulb, battery and wires.

In PE, we had a great time attempting handstands in Gymnastics. We know how to perform a handstand safely and where our hands should be to support us. It was brilliant to see everyone give it a go, even if a few were a little nervous beforehand.

Just a quick reminder: please continue to read at home every day.

Well done to our certificate winner this week!

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Brunyard, Miss Cluderay and Mrs Savory
