What a scorcher this week has been! The children have all been very sensible in trying to stay cool. We have had lots of water breaks and stayed in the shade as much as possible. We have been learning to tell the time to the hour and half past the hour. The children understand that the long hand is the minute hand, while the short hand indicates the hour. What a busy and exciting week we have had! On Monday, all of the children took part in the Phonics Screening Check. I am incredibly proud of the fantastic progress they have made in phonics this year. They approached the challenge with confidence and enthusiasm—well done, everyone! In Maths, we have started learning about money and have been exploring British coins and notes. If possible, please encourage your child to sort, count, and identify any coins you may have at home.
