Hazel Weekly Newsletter 7.11.25

We’re back and working hard in Hazel Class this week!

In Maths, we have started our Multiplication and Division topic, and have been focusing on remembering a lot of our times tables. Don’t forget that each child has a log in to Mathletics to support their learning at home when they can. Please let us know if there are any issues.

In English, we have been looking at Newspaper Reports and been putting the different features in practice, ready to write our own next week. We focused on writing facts and thinking about how we could make our writing really informative.

In PE, we started our new topics for the half term. We enjoyed considering the movements of an erupting volcano as part of our Dance topic, and practicing throwing and catching skills as part of our Ball Skills topic.

In Computing, we began looking at Stop Motion animation which will be our focus this half term. The children enjoyed making their own flip books to see their drawing move. We also looked at some older stop animation programmes that were made years ago.

In DT, we started designing our own lights and drawing out pictures of what we hoped they might look at. This continues from last week where we looked at Electrical Circuits.

Well done to our certificate winners this week.

Have a safe and relaxing weekend,

Mrs Brunyard, Miss Cluderay and Mrs Savory
