Hazel Weekly Newsletter 3.10.25

Happy Friday from Hazel Class!

In English, we have been writing up our Setting Descriptions based on our History work about the Blitz and our class book D-Day Dog. We enjoyed watching videos and looking at pictures to really imagine the setting that we were describing.

In Maths, we have been adding and subtracting numbers across both the ones and the tens column, remembering to exchange where necessary. In DT, we have practiced putting switches into circuit diagrams and learning the difference between an open and a closed switch. We know that plastic is an insulator because it doesn’t pass electric current through it, whereas metals usually are conductors because they do.

In PE, we practiced Handstands and attempted some Cartwheels safely as part of our Gymnastics sessions. We also practiced team building skills as part of our OAA topic. We know that listening, processing and communicating is key to success!

In French, we learned how to say numbers up to 10. We also practiced reading the words in French and matching them to their English translations.

Please remember that, as part of our uniform policy, earrings are not to be worn for PE as this can lead to preventable injuries.

Well done to our certificate winner this week!

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Brunyard, Miss Cluderay and Mrs Savory
