Oak Year 5

After taking guidance from local authority, we will be closely monitoring and reviewing conditions throughout the day.  As it stands, school is open as normal today and tomorrow. However, all after-school clubs and meetings will be cancelled as a precaution. This is to ensure students, parents and staff are able to travel home safely before the weather is forecast to worsen. Year 3 and Year 5 were very lucky this morning to have a visit from some military vehicles, which supports our WWII topics. The AEC Matador Gun Tractor was used by the British and Commonwealth Forces in World War 2. It was famous for towing large guns, carrying crews and serving in lots of other different roles. The Scammel Pioneer was a type of tractor truck that was used before and during World War 2. It was used as an artillery tractor, recovery vehicle and tank transporte
