We've had a brilliant first full week back in Hazel this week!
In Maths, we have started a new topic to further our Multiplication and Division skills. We have been looking at multiplying and dividing 2 digit numbers using the methods that we learned last term. We have also been using Mathletics to support our Times Table knowledge. If anyone is missing a log in, please let us know!

In English, we have continued reading our new book Myth Raiders: Claw of the Sphinx. The children have enjoyed reading this so far. In our writing, we wrote a recount of our snowy adventures last week. We loved sharing all of the things that we did when we weren't in school.
In French, we continued looking at different foods. We learned the phrase 'Je voudrais' meaning 'I would like' and practised asking for different foods that we could remember in French.
In Computing, we looked at Scratch as a coding mechanism. We remembered the term Sprite and enjoyed making it move across the screen with our command blocks.
We also had our first Swimming session this week. The children loved being in the pool and although there were some nerves to start with, everyone got in and made their way across to the other side. We are so proud of their courage and resilience, as well as how sensible they were travelling to and from the swimming pool.
Just a reminder that our PE days are now Monday and Friday to accommodate Swimming Sessions on a Friday. Please ensure that your child is wearing school PE kit. We also request that children with earrings do not wear them for swimming on Fridays.
We hope you have a relaxing and restful weekend,
Mrs Brunyard, Miss Cluderay and Mrs Savory.
