Hazel Weekly Newsletter
We had an amazing time in Hazel Class this week! In English, we wrote a Diary Entry linking to our class book D-Day dog. We are really knowledgeable about our book as we were able to put ourselves in the position of the main character and really think about their thoughts and feelings. In Maths we are finishing our Addition and Subtraction topic and have been continuing to practice exchanging across numbers. In PE we have enjoyed following instructions and working together as

Happy Friday! It was great to speak to parents/carers at parents evening this week to talk about how your child has settled into school. Sycamore - 17.10.25
Good afternoon, This week the children have worked very hard on creating short stories, making sure they make sense and have an interesting problem whilst also including expanded noun phrases, a range of conjunctions and correctly punctuated speech. There have been some very good and interesting stories for me to read and mark. In maths we have finished our unit on addition and subtraction, and the children should have brought home their tests. Remember there are tasks set on

Oak - 17.10.25
Good afternoon, Over the past couple of weeks in English we have been exploring newspaper reports, which has resulted in this week writing an article linked to an interesting event that has happened in our class text. The children have tried really hard to write in a formal and factual way and have tried to use speech to add some personalised points of view. In maths we are in our multiplication and division unit and have been looking at factors, multiples and prime numbers.
