Sports Day

Dear Parents and Carers,

Sports Day 2026 – Tuesday 30th June

We are delighted to invite you to join us for our annual Crowmoor Sports Day, which will take place on Tuesday 30th June.

Parents and carers are welcome to join us on the school field from 9:00am. Following registration, the events will begin shortly afterwards and will continue until approximately 12:00 noon.

Picnic Lunch

From 12:00pm–1:00pm, we will be holding a picnic lunch on the school field. Parents and carers are warmly invited to stay and enjoy lunch with their child.

Children can order a school dinner as normal, and these will be served in takeaway containers and delivered to the field. Unfortunately, school dinners cannot be ordered for adults, so parents and carers wishing to stay for lunch are welcome to bring their own picnic.

Children with packed lunches will have their lunchboxes brought to the field by staff.

Arrival and Site Safety

Once the event has started and the children are settled, the school gates will be locked for safeguarding and safety purposes.

If you need to leave the site at any point, including to use the toilet facilities, please inform a member of staff who will be able to open the gate for you.

We would also like to remind all visitors that:

  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the school site.

  • Alcohol is not permitted on site.

  • Dogs are not permitted on site.

Refreshments

Our wonderful Friends of Crowmoor team will be selling refreshments throughout the morning. Please bring cash and, where possible, the correct change, as payments will be cash only.

Taking Part

As with last year, every child will take part in every event, ensuring that all pupils have the opportunity to participate, enjoy themselves and experience success.

All children will receive a participation certificate, and there will be opportunities for our 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers to celebrate their achievements with photographs on our special winners' podium.

At the end of the event, points from all activities will be added together and we will proudly announce our winning house team.

Your child should already know which house they belong to. If they are unsure, please speak to their class teacher.

What Should Children Wear?

Children should attend school wearing their normal PE kit:

  • Plain white PE t-shirt (with or without the school logo)

  • Dark shorts, joggers or leggings (black, grey or navy)

  • Suitable trainers for running and athletics activities

Please note that branded sportswear or hoodies should not be worn. If the temperature drops, children can wear their Crowmoor jumpers or cardigans.

Photography and Safeguarding

We are delighted to welcome so many spectators and encourage everyone to cheer on all of our children throughout the day.

To ensure we continue to safeguard all pupils, we kindly ask that photographs are taken of your own child only. Please do not take photographs of other children and do not post images of other children on social media.

We Can't Wait!

Sports Day is always one of the highlights of the school year. It promises to be a morning full of fun, participation, teamwork and healthy competition, but most importantly, it is another wonderful opportunity for us to come together as a community and celebrate our fantastic pupils.

We are looking forward to seeing a big crowd of supporters cheering on Team Crowmoor!
