Hazel Weekly Newsletter 26.6.26

Happy Weekend from Hazel Class! It’s been very warm this week but we have beaten the heat!

In Maths, we have continued with statistics and looked at how to represent data on a tally chart, bar chart and two way table. We have then used this data to answer questions.

In English, we have been concentrating on writing Diary entries. We have written in First person, included conjunctions, and made sure to describe using our amazing adjectives. Everyone has worked very hard and written some fantastic pieces based on Charlie and the chocolate factory.

In Computing, we have continued using Scratch coding to make a pen draw shapes on the screen. We have practiced coding it to change different colours and thickness of the pen as it draws.

As our trip unfortunately was cancelled, we spent some time outside in the shade. We made natural collages and art installations in the style of Andy Goldsworthy, who creates sculptures out of natural things. We had a great time working together to create our masterpieces.

Just a reminder that Tuesday is our Sports Day. Can all children come to school in Normal PE Kit please.

Have a lovely and relaxing weekend,

Mrs Brunyard, Miss Cluderay and Mrs Savory
