What lovely weather we have had this week! We’ve made the most of the sunshine by taking our booster sessions outdoors, which the children have thoroughly enjoyed. One highlight was our exciting ‘escape room’ challenge, where pupils worked brilliantly in groups to solve a series of clues in order to “escape.” It was fantastic to see such teamwork, resilience, and problem-solving skills on display—well done, Willow Class! In Science, we have been exploring how animals adapt to

In English, we are now looking at narratives, which will lead us next week to the children writing their own stories. In maths we have started a new unit on money. The children did well this week at researching the differences betw

Our new maths topic is Fractions. The children have learnt that when a whole is spilt into two equal groups, each part is called a half. They are beginning to li

They have really liked using our bikes, building in our construction area, singing in our performance area and looking at books by the tree. Please make sure your child's belongings are named, so if they take off their cardigans or jumpers and they are misplaced, they can be returned. What a fantastic week we have had! It was great to get out in the sunshine to do some outdoor learning. We have been using this time to practice sticking together as a group ready for our trip to The British Ironworks Centre on Tuesday 19th May. I'm really looking forward to it! This week the children have enjoyed the story of 'Amazing Grace' by Mary Hoffman. It explores themes of discrimination when Grace is told that she cannot be Peter Pan because 'that's a boys name' and
