Happy Friday from Hazel Class!
In Maths, we started a new topic! We have been looking at Length and Perimeter, and figuring out the difference between Metres, Centimetres and Millimetres. We have measured some of our classroom items and discussed which unit was appropriate to measure with.
In English, we have continued with Claw of the Sphinx and written up Instructions to make a paper aeroplane. We really enjoyed making paper aeroplanes so we could clearly write the instructions using Imperative Verbs and Fronted Adverbials.

In French, we recalled Colours that we learnt last term, and linked them to different Food items that we have been focusing on this half term. We enjoyed putting together colours that don’t necessarily match the food, like ‘une pomme violette’ which is a purple apple.
In Computing, we learned what a Sequence is. We looked at Sequencing codes and making sure that they were attached to an event block, so that our Sprites could move when we commanded them. They then performed a sequence of movements.
Everyone is making brilliant progress with Swimming each time we go! Today the children concentrated on the idea of moving safely in the water, and coordinating our arms and legs to move quicker. We are very proud of the enthusiasm they bring each week, and how respectful they are to the instructors.
Have an amazing weekend
