A reminder we break up for Christmas on Friday 19th December. School finishes at 1.15pm on this date and all children must be collected at this time unless they are in Years 5 & 6 and are a home walker. Monday 5th January is a PD day therefore, school is closed on this day. All pupils return on Tuesday 6th January 2026!

Pupils who are eligible for Free School Meals are entitled to HAF funding over the Christmas holidays. This week if your child is eligible for Free School Meals, please note this does not include Universal Infant Free School Meals, they will be coming home with a HAF leaflet which will include the code needed in order to book on the HAF holiday clubs. Happy Friday!   This week we have been looking at the story ‘The Scarecrow’s Wedding’.   We have been talking about celebrations and the children have enjoyed making cakes with playdough and in the sand, designing cakes and writing lists. Good afternoon, I have been so impressed this week with some of the discussions and the work the children have produced. They have really got to grips with their new English writing unit on biographies. So far we have analysed one and had a go as a class writing one, before the children write one independently next week. Our Christmas Dinner Day this year will be held on Tuesday 16th December. Please see details below. If your child would like a Christmas Dinner they will just need to order this in class as normal on the day.

On Friday 5th December Beech class will be performing their Christmas Nativity and we would love to welcome as many Parents/Carers to come and watch this fantastic performance! We are holding our Christmas Carol service on Thursday 11th December, 1.30pm at the Baptist Church. All children apart from children in Beech class (Reception) will be taking part in this Carol Service. Beech class children have their Nativity on 5th December.
