Happy Friday!

This week we have been looking at the story ‘The Scarecrow’s Wedding’.

We have been talking about celebrations and the children have enjoyed making cakes with playdough and in the sand, designing cakes and writing lists.

The last couple of weeks we have been continuing our finger workouts and working on how we hold a pencil. Yesterday, we looked at how we formed ‘h’ and then the children had a go on whiteboards and in the sand.

In phonics, we have looked at zz, qu and ch.  The children are working hard to blend to read words. Thank you to parents/carers for practicing sounds and reading at home.

In Maths, we have been looking at more and less and ways to make numbers 1-5. The children have enjoyed singing number rhymes to help them find one less.

Our certificate winner this week is Louie for being courageous during our nativity practices. He has also been great at sharing his ideas with others and enjoyed measuring how tall he and others were in our outdoor area. Well done!

This week, you should have received information about booking tickets for the nativity performances on Friday 5th December and what your child will be in the nativity. If you haven't or you have any questions please let us know.

We hope you have a great weekend.

Mrs Fairclough and Mrs Kenny
