Sycamore Weekly Newsletter - 21.14.25

Good afternoon,

I have been so impressed this week with some of the discussions and the work the children have produced. They have really got to grips with their new English writing unit on biographies. So far we have analysed one and had a go as a class writing one, before the children write one independently next week.

In maths we are continuing to look at multiplication and division and have moved on to possibly the trickiest tables yet... the 7s. We will continue to look at this next week, but any additional support at home would be greatly appreciated.

In science we are looking at the digestive system and this week we looked at the organs and their definitions in this process. The task proved to be quite challenging but we got there in the end.

As always we are really pushing reading in class, I am very impressed to see a few children are now reading daily at home. It would be great if we could get more children reading daily as we build up to Christmas so as a class we can meet our word target.

Finally, please remember you are invited to come in on Thursday 27th November to our class's Inspire Afternoon 2-3pm. We have got some gymnastic skills to show off as well as few activities.

Any questions, please email me at sycamore@crowmoorschool.co.uk
