Sycamore Weekly News 10.1.25

Happy New Year!

It has been a short but busy week. We have started the 'Reading the Game' programme, which links reading and football. This week we focused on resilience and always trying your best to reach your potential.

Our certificate winner this week is Luna. She has been courageous with her work and showed resilience. Well done!

In our writing sessions, we have been looking at newspaper reports. After looking at an example text and the features, we looked more closely at direct and indirect speech and planned and tried to write a newspaper. We have been looking at using past tense, inverted commas for direct speech and the 5 w's (who, what, where, when and why).

The children have also enjoyed talking about groups we belong to in PSHE, performing jumps and leaps in gymnastics and doing a trust game where we guided children around the class in RE.

We hope you have a great weekend.
