In English, the children have been exploring our class book through the eyes of Ahmet. They wrote thoughtful diary entries describing how he might have felt on his very first day at school. The children had some wonderful ideas and used lots of descriptive language to capture his emotions, from nervousness and excitement to hope and curiosity. We were so impressed with the empathy and creativity they showed in their writing.
In Maths, we celebrated finishing our fractions unit. This week, we focused on dividing fractions—a tricky concept, but the children tackled it with impressive determination. Well done to everyone for showing such great resilience and perseverance!
In Geography, we learned about different map symbols and how they help us understand what a map is showing. The children enjoyed exploring these symbols and using them to decode different maps. Take a look at our images to see their fantastic work.

This week also marked our last swimming session of the term. The children have all made fantastic progress, growing in confidence and skill in the water. We are very proud of them!
Well done to this week’s certificate winner Olivia.
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Bliss and Mr Jones
