Happy Half Term Everyone! We have worked so hard and made it to another break!
In Maths, we finished off our topic on Length and Perimeter by measuring shapes and adding the measurements to find out the perimeter. We remembered to measure accurately, using centimetres and millimetres.
In English, we wrote a book review on Myth Raiders - Claw of the Sphinx. We have really enjoyed this book, and it has been brilliant to link to Ancient Egyptian History.

In French, we finished off our topic about Food with a Food Tasting session. We recalled the different things that ‘Le Chien Gormand’ ate in our story and tried some of them ourselves, thinking about if we really liked them or really hated them. We really liked the Croissants!
In DT, we began to create another mechanism, this time using a lever to move a hand so it could wave. We thought about how we could incorporate this into our final piece, which we will plan and create after half term.
We thoroughly enjoyed Swimming this week, and most of us were confident enough to go under the water and touch the bottom of the pool! We are really proud with all of the progress that the children are making.
Thank you for all of your support this half term, whether it is reading at home or using Mathletics and Spelling Shed to support your child’s learning. It all makes a huge difference!
Have a happy and safe half term, we look forward to seeing everyone again on the 23rd! Mrs Brunyard, Miss Cluderay and Mrs Savory.
