Hazel - 4.4.25

Good afternoon,

This week in Hazel we have started our new unit on mass and capacity in maths, we have covered reading scales and looking at the link between grams and kilograms and will moving on to millilitres and litres. In English we have come to the end of our narrative writing and the children have produced some lovely descriptive pieces.

Today we came to the end of our geography unit on climate, we have used lines of latitude to look for similarities in climates across the world. The children are very good at identifying and explaining why certain areas have particular climates.

We are on our last push to get the final 80,000 words to meet our target of 1,000,000 words read by Easter. Please keep encouraging the children to read and understand what their book is about.

Some children are making some great progress with Mathletics and Spelling Shed at home, we are currently ranked the best class in the school on Spelling Shed, which is fantastic.

Hope you all have a great weekend,

Mr Reynolds
