Chestnut Newsletter 4.7.25

This week we have been completing some assessments. All the children have impressed Mrs Armstrong and myself with how they have learnt to tell the time - o'clock and half past. They have accurately drawn hands on a clock paying close attention to the position of the short hour hand. we have also compared these time to what they look like on the class digital clock.

We shared the story of 'Zippo the Superhero Hippo'. It is a very amusing book and the children loved it! They finished off the week by writing a letter to their new teacher. Miss Hipkiss is looking forward to receiving them!

Please make sure your child has a clean fresh water bottle in school everyday, it's thirsty work being in Year 1!
