Chestnut Newsletter 23.5.25

Well that was a quick half term!

This week the children have enjoyed sharing the book 'Odd Fish' by Naomi Jones. They are starting to think quite deeply about our planet and what we can do to look after it. They hate the thought of the plastic in our oceans and the harm it can do to the creatures.

In maths this week, we have been using the language of Position and Direction.

  • left

  • right

  • forward

  • backward

  • above

  • below

  • quarter turn

  • half turn

  • full turn

On Thursday, the children 'excavated' their fossils. They were very careful and made sure to brush off the sand thoroughly.

Have a fabulous half term break,

Mrs Dowell, Mrs Armstrong and Mr Jones.
