Chestnut Newsletter 14.3.25

Updated: Mar 20, 2025

Spring has sprung!

All the children have enjoyed creating watercolour paintings of spring flowers. They were very careful to use the paintbrushes correctly and to just ‘stroke’ the paper with the very tip of the brush.

We have read the story of ‘Lila and the Secret of the Rain’ which is set in Kenya. The villagers are very worried about there being no rain as “Without rain, there can be no life.” Luckily, Lila knew a secret and saved the village! Click below to hear the story.

In maths, the children are becoming familiar with using a ruler to measure in centimetres (cm). They just need a little practice holding the ruler still whilst using it to draw a STRAIGHT line.

Please keep reading little and often!
