Willow Weekly Newsletter 5.9.25

Welcome back! It has been wonderful settling the children into Year 6 – they’ve returned full of energy, enthusiasm, and smiles. We’re already so proud of how well they’ve adapted to life at the top of the school.

Year 6 is a special and exciting year, filled with memorable learning experiences and opportunities to shine. We work hard to ensure it's both fun and rewarding, while also preparing the children for their next steps.

Your support is vital throughout the year. Please continue to support your child with daily reading—we check reading records each week. Spellings are handed out every Friday, ready for a test the following week. In addition, arithmetic sheets will be sent home weekly, and we encourage children to spend time reviewing any areas they find challenging.

This week, we started our swimming lessons, I was extremely impressed with the children’s behaviour and attitude towards sessions. For the next 4 weeks, our P.E. sessions will take place every Thursday, so please make sure kits are in school. We will also be going swimming every Friday, so don’t forget swimsuits, towels, and goggles if needed.
