Hazel Class Newsletter 6.3.26

Happy Friday from Hazel Class! We’ve been really busy and had a lovely week!

In English, we have been enjoying our new book Pharoah in the Bath. We have been practicing writing Playscripts with a focus on prepositions in our settings, and adverbs to describe how our characters are speaking.

In Maths, we have been continuing with our work on Fractions. We have been comparing sizes of fractions and putting them on number lines in order.

In Science, we have been grouping rocks depending on their properties. We really enjoyed working in groups to figure out the similarities and differences.

In Computing, we were linking different objects based on their attributes. We then created Yes and No questions to group these and collect data.

We had an amazing time throughout World Book Day. We enjoyed our Drop Everything and Read session, spent time in the library and creating pictures based on our characters.

Just a reminder of our PE days:

This half term our PE days are Monday and Friday. Monday will be a normal PE lesson and Friday will be swimming. Children are to please come in School PE kit and trainers for these days. This consists of a School Jumper, White top and dark coloured joggers. Thank you for your support in this.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Brunyard, Miss Cluderay and Mrs Savory
