Chestnut Newsletter 9.3.26

What a short half term this is, we are already beginning the third week with lots of learning underway!

In our English classes, we discussed the story of 'Chicken Licken' and crafted a character description of 'Foxy Woxy'. Last week, we explored 'The Weather Monster', a delightful book about Ron, who resides alone in a cave and influences the weather with his emotions. When Ron feels sad, it rains, and when he is happy, the sun shines! The villagers eventually meet him and realise he isn't a monster, just lonely.

World Book Day in Chestnut Class was fabulous. Thank you for making so much effort with the costume ideas. It was great to see some non-fiction characters represented too! I love sharing books with the children and they are always welcome to bring books to school to show the class.

Please make sure toys are left at home. Certificates, trophies and medals from outside school can be brought in on Fridays to share in our weekly celebration assembly.

Chestnut Class Inspire Afternoon.

Join us at school on Monday, 23rd March from 2-3pm to engage in creative activities with your child. If time permits, you can also explore the new school library together. We are fortunate to have received generous donations so far.
