Willow Weekly Newsletter 12/12/25

We have had a great week in Willow Class!

In Reading, we are nearing the end of our text. This week, the characters created a plan to deliver a letter to the Queen—however, things didn’t quite go as expected! The children then had a chance to design their own clever plans, showing fantastic imagination and reasoning.

In Maths, we have begun our new unit on ratio. The children practised using ratio language confidently and could explain whether a question required the additive or multiplicative method. It’s been brilliant to see them approach this new unit with enthusiasm.

During PSHE, we explored how to challenge opinions respectfully. Working in groups, the children were given a list of animals and had to discuss, negotiate, and agree on a ranked order. They showed excellent teamwork and thoughtful communication throughout the activity.

Finally, a huge well done to all the children who sang at the Carol Service. It was wonderful to see their hard work and confidence shine through. Thank you as well to the families who came along to support them.

Well done to this week’s certificate winner Ameelya

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Bliss and Mr Jones
