It has been another fantastic week of learning in our class!
In English, we have been exploring non-chronological reports. The children analysed an example about The Day of the Dead and then had a go at rewriting it themselves. They focused on using subheadings, bullet points, and punctuation to add clarity and style — including semi-colons, colons to introduce lists, and parenthesis to add extra information. I was so impressed with their attention to detail and growing confidence in structuring factual writing.
In Maths, the children have shown incredible resilience and understanding while tackling long division. It has been wonderful to see their determination and teamwork shine through – well done, everyone!
In Design and Technology, we have been learning about CAMs and how these mechanisms can create movement. The class had great fun experimenting and creating prototypes for their mechanical systems, showing fantastic creativity and problem-solving skills.

Apologies that the QR code for the Diwali event was not working; a new letter with the correct code was sent home yesterday—please see below for details.

Finally, just a reminder that Parents’ Evening will take place on Monday and Tuesday next week. I look forward to meeting with you to share and celebrate the children’s progress.
Well done to this week’s certificate winner Ella
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Bliss and Mr Jones
