Willow Weekly Newsletter 27.2.26

Welcome back to Spring 2 term – we are excited to have the children back and ready for a fantastic half term ahead! Although this is a short term, it will certainly be a busy one. We begin our booster sessions over the coming weeks and look forward to seeing lots of progress and growing confidence across the class.

In Reading, we are continuing our class novel, Pig Heart Boy, and enjoying the thought-provoking themes within the story. In Writing this week, we wrote a detailed character description based on Cameron from Pig Heart Boy, focusing on vocabulary and figurative language.

In Maths, we have begun our unit on Area and Perimeter, including finding the area and perimeter of rectilinear shapes and triangles.

In PSHE, we discussed online safety, focusing on what information we should be sharing and strategies to keep ourselves private.

P.E. will take place on Thursdays this term.

A reminder about the upcoming SATs workshop for parents on Tuesday 3rd March, 2:30–3:00pm – we hope to see many of you there!
