It has been wonderful welcoming all the children back to school this week. They have returned with a fantastic attitude towards learning and have settled back into school routines brilliantly.

In Writing, we have begun our new unit on newspapers. We started by identifying key newspaper features, including relative clauses, and then used these in our own writing.

In Maths, we have started our unit on fractions. This week, we have been learning how to simplify, compare, add and subtract fractions.

On Wednesday afternoon, we enjoyed painting poppies in preparation for Remembrance Day next week. The children worked carefully and thoughtfully.

In Geography, we have been learning about longitude and latitude and how these lines help us locate places around the world.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Bliss and Miss Davies
