Spring 1 has been brilliant, and it has been wonderful to see so much progress from the Year 6 children. In Writing, we have been creating diary entries inspired by the clip La Luna. The children demonstrated a strong understanding of the task and used a range of prepositional openers to clearly paint vivid pictures in the reader’s mind.
In Maths, we have completed our Geometry unit, where the children showed great understanding when finding angles in a range of shapes.
In Geography, we enjoyed learning about life in the past, exploring how landscapes change over time and the factors that may impact their future.
A letter has been sent home regarding optional Easter homework. These activities are not compulsory but are intended as a supportive resource for any children who wish to consolidate their learning. We hope the children enjoy a well-deserved break, and engaging with these materials may help them feel confident and prepared for their SATs next term. Links are provided below if needed:
Well done to this week’s certificate winner Jack.
Have a lovely Easter break,
Miss Bliss, Mr Jones and Mrs Mooney
