Good afternoon,

It has been fantastic to welcome the children back to school. They have made a brilliant start to the new school year, settling into routines and showing a positive attitude towards their learning.

Please encourage the children to read daily reading at home. Even reading just a page or for a few minutes each day can make a real difference to children's fluency, vocabulary and understanding.

The children have had a look at Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check. We have discussed what it involves and why being confident with multiplication facts is important. The children have completed a practice check so they can become familiar with the format. There is no need to worry — we will continue to build their confidence throughout the year.

This year our PE lessons are on a Monday and Thursday, please remind the children to wear their PE kits on these days.

I hope you all have a great weekend,

Mr Reynolds
