Happy Friday!

A huge well done to all the children for their first half term in school. They have all settled so well into school and have got used to our rules and routines.

This week we have been looking at the story 'Little Red Riding Hood'. The children are enjoying doing actions to our words each day. This week they were:

traipse

crafty

gratitude

disguise

flee

concealed

The children have been making masks for the wolf and Little Red Riding Hood.

In Maths, we have been looking at one more, one less and ways to make 3. The children noticed there was a 2 and 1 in 3 and 3 1's in 3.

The children all looked great dressed up yesterday and they had a fantastic time at the disco. Thank you so much to the 'Friends of Crowmoor School' for the refreshments. The children have enjoyed exploring pumpkins the last few days and some children pretended to make pumpkin soup.

In phonics, we have been going over the sounds we have learnt this half term. Please continue to practise sound cards and read over the half term. Thank you.

Our certificate winner this week is Baxton. He has a positive attitude to learning, tries hard with his learning, makes good choices and is very helpful. Well done!

We hope you have a lovely half term and see you back on Tuesday 3rd November.

Mrs Fairclough, Mrs Kenny and Miss Hotchkiss.
