Happy Friday from Hazel Class! We’ve had another busy week.

In English, we continued with our class text ‘There’s a Pharoah in our Bath!’ We are really enjoying reading through this and asking questions. In our writing, we are looking at poetry. We have focused on Acrostic poems and have created some about school and Ancient Egypt.
In Maths, we have finished off our topic on Fractions by focusing on where to place Unit Fractions on a Numberline. We are excited to move on this week to Mass and Capacity and looked at differences between grams and kilograms.
In History, we have been continuing with our research into the Ancient Egyptians. We are really enjoying this topic and linking it to other lessons.
In Computing, we looked at branching databases and used our Yes and No questions to support this.
In PSHE, we are discussing what different jobs we could have, what money is and why it is important. We created an alphabet of jobs and thought about all the different things we use money for.
We have really enjoyed our swimming sessions so far. Our last swimming session is on our last day (Friday 27th March) so please bring swimming kit next week too!
Wishing you a happy and relaxing weekend
Mrs Brunyard, Miss Cluderay and Mrs Savory
