Good afternoon,
What a half-term this has been, we have managed to pack a lot in and the children have done really well. This week we revisited some of our formal methods of calculation, checking we are using the correct layout and process; I have been really impressed by how much many of them are focusing and really trying their best.
In English we finished our newspaper reports and then tried to be news presenters delivering the same report. The children did very well, thinking on their feet and making sure their report continued and they didn't miss any of the details.
In science we built on our understanding of bones and looked at how muscles contract and relax to help us move. In geography we looked at grid refences and tried to plot items.
Over half term please encourage the children to read daily, even just for 5 minutes, it will make a real difference for the final part of the Summer Term. The children also have access to Mathletics and Spelling Shed to keep practising their maths and English.
I hope you all have a great break,
Mr Reynolds
