We want to update you on some changes and exciting developments to our Family Liaison Service at Crowmoor Primary School.
What is the Family Liaison Service?
Our Family Liaison Service is here to support you at the doorstep of your school. Being a parent/carer can bring many challenges throughout your child’s life. We are here to support your every need by offering a professional and supportive service. We offer a variety of support within all areas of emotional and social development for children as well as parents, carers and families. Our aim is to ensure your child is happy, safe and thriving within school.
We work with children across the school in many different ways. We may complete interventions within school on either an individual or group basis on topics such as mental health, making friends, managing their emotions, developing self-confidence, transitioning into school or preparing for secondary school. We may complete home visits to encourage good attendance at school and to work with you as parents, carers and families to identify any additional support you may need in any aspect. We aim to work alongside you by creating strategies together to manage any challenges you may be experiencing. We work closely with a variety of external services in the community and children’s services. This helps us to identify the right support and intervention to meet the needs of your child and family where additional help may be needed.
Staffing Updates
As you may already know, Mr Taylor has joined the family service team and will be a permanent member of staff based at Crowmoor Primary School everyday, Please feel free to come and introduce yourself. Mr Taylor will also be joined by Miss Elliot our Family Services Manager who will continue to be based at Crowmoor Primary School every Tuesday to support the team in developing our Family Liaison offer across the school and local community.
Mrs Baran who is our Director of Family Services, Mrs Baran will continue to oversee the development of our Family Liaison offer across SHINE Academies and is committed to continuing to strengthen our relationships with parents, carers, families and the local community across Crowmoor Primary School.
