Elm Spooky News 23.10.25

This week, we finished reading The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark, a story the children thoroughly enjoyed! To celebrate, they completed a quiz to test their comprehension and listening skills.

In English, we embraced the spooky season by creating our own Halloween acrostic poems, full of creativity and imagination.

In Maths, we’ve been consolidating our understanding of adding and subtracting two-digit numbers. Please continue to encourage your child to use Mathletics over the holidays to keep these skills fresh for when we return.

Today, we wrapped up the week with a fantastic spooky dress-up day and the Halloween disco — there was plenty of dancing, singing, and fun all around!

A huge congratulations to this week’s Crowmoor Certificate Winner, Riley — well done!

Wishing you all a SPOOKTACULAR half-term break!
