We've had a wonderfully busy and creative week in Year 2!
🚗 Evaluating Our Vehicles - After designing and building our own vehicles, this week we carefully evaluated them! The children thought about what worked well, what could be improved, and how their vehicle moved. We were so impressed with their thoughtful reflections and ideas.
🧚 Fairy Poetry MagicIn English, the class has been working hard to write their very own poems about fairies. With fluttering wings, sparkly dust, and magical forests, the poems were full of imagination and beautiful language. Well done, poets!
➕ Missing Numbers Challenge - In Maths, we’ve been tackling missing number problems, building our reasoning and problem-solving skills. The children have worked with fantastic focus—great thinking, Year 2!
🐒 Animal Olympics in PE -This week’s PE lessons were full of fun and movement as we took part in an Animal Olympics! From leaping like frogs to sprinting like cheetahs, the children enjoyed staying active while learning about different animal abilities.
🌬️ Staying Cool with Fans - With the weather warming up, we got creative and made our own paper fans to help keep cool in class. A fun and practical craft that brought lots of smiles!
👩🏫 A Special Visitor - We were delighted to welcome Mrs Savory into our classroom this week! The children enjoyed sharing their learning with her and showing off their fantastic work and enthusiasm.
📚 Keep Reading! Please continue to encourage daily reading at home. Just 10–15 minutes a day makes a big difference and helps build confidence and fluency.
🌞 Enjoy the Weekend. We wish you a relaxing and sunny weekend!
