We had such a wonderful day celebrating with fun activities that helped us relax, connect, and feel our best. We wrapped up the day with a fantastic dance party that everyone loved!

In English this week, we explored newspaper reports and linked our writing to our book of the week, The Christmas Truce. We also got creative in history by starting to make Christmas cards (yes, we know it’s a bit early!) for World War I soldiers — a lovely way to combine learning and kindness.

In Maths, we’ve been building on our work with addition and subtraction, using our number bond knowledge to help us add and subtract numbers up to 100.

As we move to the end of Autumn 1, we are starting to have a big emphasis on applying our phonic knowledge to spelling. Please continue to access Spelling Shed at home for practice!

I look forward to seeing you all at Parents' evening.
