Today, we had a wonderful afternoon experimenting with pastels in art. The children enjoyed creating their own pieces inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night.
It has been wonderful to see so many children practising their new weekly spellings at home. Keep up the great work! New spellings will be sent home on Monday.
This week in English, we began our new book The Pied Piper of Hamelin. The children have really enjoyed diving into the story and getting to know the characters. Using the book as inspiration, they wrote their own character descriptions, carefully choosing exciting adjectives to bring their writing to life.

In Maths this week, we have started our new unit on shape. The children began by recapping what they learned last year and have been working hard to recognise and name a variety of 2D and 3D shapes. Keep up the great work by practising on Mathletics!
This week's Crowmoor Reward Certificate winner is Riva! Well done!
This week's reading rex winner is Adrian. Well done!
Have a great weekend!
