Electric Scooters

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have recently received information from the community policing team regarding the use of electric scooters.

Electric scooters (also known as e-scooters) fall under the category of ‘powered transporters’. This term covers a range of personal transport devices that are powered by a motor. E-scooters and unregistered e-motorbikes are classed as motor vehicles under the Road Traffic Act 1988.

In light of this, we are no longer able to allow pupils to bring electric scooters onto the school site with immediate effect. This decision has been made to ensure the safety of all our pupils and to ensure that we are fully compliant with current regulations.

We appreciate your support in reinforcing this message with your child and to communicate this to any other adults, who support taking and collecting your child from school.
