Sycamore Newsletter - 20.3.26

Good afternoon,

We have had a very good week in Sycamore Class. In maths we finished our unit on fractions and lots of children got very high scores on their end of unit test. We are now moving on to decimals, looking beyond 0 and exploring the correlation with fractions.

In English we are revisiting non-chronological reports, in particular looking at tense and technical vocabulary. So far, we have written a text about Sycamore Class.

In PE we tested our badminton skills by playing some matches. There are some children in the class who were very good at communicating with their team, others who were very good at hitting the shuttlecock into space and others who were able to move and adjust their stance to play some great returns.

Next week, Wednesday 25th March, we have our visit to the Mosque. This will be taking place in school time during the afternoon. Please note we will not be doing PE, and the children will need to come in in their normal school uniform – making sure their legs are covered (no shorts or if wearing a skirt please wear tights) and they have their school jumper or cardigan with them.

As always please keep up the reading, we have had some brilliant progress, particularly those who are reading consistently at home.

If you have any questions, please email me sycamore@crowmoorschool.co.uk or the office.

Have a good weekend,

Mr Reynolds
