Beech Class Newsletter 28.3.25

This week we have looked at the lifecycle of a butterfly, reading the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar and watching our class caterpillars finally go into their chrysalides.

Fingers crossed they will emerge before the Easter holidays and we will be able to let them out to explore our forest area at the back of Beech Class.

The children have worked hard on their drawing and writing skills in English, drawing the caterpillar, butterfly and setting for them to live in as well as creating a friend for the butterfly to go flying with.

In phonics the children have been reading longer words, including words ending with -ing as well as recapping Phase 3 tricky words he,we,me,be, was, you and they.

In maths they have been measuring and comparing length and height using cubes and talking about how they know which is tallest/longest.

They children have been very excited to watch their sunflower plants begin to grow and are hoping to see their beans grow soon. They are being very patient!

Have a lovely weekend.
