As we reach the end of the term, I would like to thank all parents and carers for your continued support in helping the children settle into Year 6. It has been a positive and productive term, and I am incredibly proud of the effort, resilience and enthusiasm the class has shown across all areas of learning.

In English, we have been writing winter poems, focusing on key grammatical and poetic features such as repetition, rhyme, personification, similes and imagery. The children produced some thoughtful and creative pieces of writing.

In Maths, we completed our unit on ratio, learning how to scale quantities up and down accurately. The children showed a great understanding.

In History, we finished our unit on Monarchy, where pupils debated which Queen or King, they believed was most influential and justified their opinions using historical evidence.
