Willow Weekly Newsletter 13.3.26

Year 6 have had a busy and productive week.

In Writing, we have been creating a short narrative based on a scene from our class text Pig Heart Boy. The children worked hard to describe the emotions and atmosphere of the moment, and I have been particularly impressed with their ambitious vocabulary choices and creativity.

In Maths, we have been completing our unit on Statistics. Pupils have been interpreting and drawing a range of graphs, including line graphs, bar graphs and pie charts. They showed great focus when analysing data and explaining what the information tells us.

In PSHE, we have been learning about the rules and laws surrounding the use of images online. As a class, we discussed why these rules are important and created our own set of guidelines for using images responsibly.

We also carried out assessments this week, I will be feeding back to each child regarding their progress.

Well done to this week’s certificate winner Mia.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Bliss, Mr Jones and Mrs Mooney
