Willow Weekly News 6/6/25

It has been wonderful to welcome the children back to school this week after the half-term holiday. They’ve returned full of energy and enthusiasm, ready for a busy and exciting final half term.

In English, the children have been working hard to write letters inspired by the short film The Piano. They showed great creativity and used a range of powerful language features to convey emotion and build atmosphere—well done to everyone for their thoughtful and imaginative writing.

In Maths, we have been focusing on reasoning challenges. These tasks encouraged the children to think critically and apply their problem-solving skills, and it’s been fantastic to see their resilience and determination shine through.

This week also saw some of our pupils take part in Bike Ability. A big well done to those involved—you demonstrated excellent listening skills and learned some very important tips for staying safe while cycling.

Looking ahead to next week, a reminder that we have Crucial Crew on Thursday. Children should come to school in full uniform and bring a packed lunch. It promises to be an informative and engaging experience!

Well done to this weeks golden certificate winner, Lila.

Have a lovely weekend, Miss Bliss and Miss Davies
