What a week!
As SATs come to an end, we want to say how proud we are of every single child. They’ve shown such determination, calmness, and positivity. It’s clear how hard they’ve worked all year, and this week they gave it their all. Beyond the tests, their kindness and support for one another stood out just as much as their academic efforts. Here is our end of SATs photo:

Despite the busy week, we’ve enjoyed some fantastic learning. In Geography, we discussed the difference between weather and climate, focusing on Shrewsbury’s temperate maritime climate. We also explored climates across Eastern Europe, comparing regions using maps and digital tools.
In History, we continued learning about Ancient Greece, looking at the role of enslaved people in society and what that meant for daily life. The children examined different sources and chose aspects of Greek life to research further.
A quick note: starting next week and continuing after half term, P.E. will be on both Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Next week, we’re also welcoming visitors from local secondary schools to speak with the children about transition and what to expect as they move on. It’s a great opportunity for them to ask questions and start preparing for the next stage.
To our brilliant pupils: you’ve made us all proud.
And to our families: thank you for your continued support.
Have a restful weekend—you’ve earned it!
Miss Bliss and Miss Davies
