Willow Class Newsletter 17.10.25

It was wonderful to speak with many of you this week at parents evening, sharing the wonderful progress of the children- thank you.

This week in Writing, we have been working hard to create non-chronological reports all about Yellow-Spotted Lizards. The children have enjoyed researching fascinating facts about these unusual creatures and have used the correct features of a non-chronological report to share their knowledge.

In Maths, we have now completed our unit on Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division. The children have been applying their skills to a range of problem-solving activities, showing great perseverance and teamwork. It’s been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they used different strategies to tackle challenging problems.

This week, we have also been learning all about Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights. The children have explored the story behind the celebration and enjoyed making their own Diva lamps from clay. We can’t wait to decorate them during our Inspire Afternoon next week—we look forward to welcoming you then!

Well done to this week’s certificate winner Hakeem.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Bliss and Mr Jones
