Good afternoon,
We have had a very positive start to the half term and the children have returned to school settled, focused and ready to learn.
In Maths, we have begun our work on fractions. The children are exploring equivalent fractions, comparing and ordering fractions, and developing their confidence in explaining their reasoning. In English, we are focusing on character descriptions. The class has been working hard to use expanded noun phrases, ambitious vocabulary and varied sentence structures to bring characters to life in their writing. For our reading we have started reading Rumaysa, a slight twist on known fairy
tales.

In History, we have started our new topic on the Anglo-Saxons. The children are already enjoying learning about who the Anglo-Saxons were and why they came to Britain.
A reminder that PE kits should be worn/ brought into school on Wednesdays only. Please ensure your child has the correct kit on this day.
As always please keep encouraging your children to read at home.
Hope you have a good weekend,
Mr Reynolds
